Overlake is currently testing out a new exam software called Exam.net. Some teachers have the link to the trial. If you are interested and don't have the link, please reach out to Kelly. 

Please note: this is just in the very baby testing phase. ILT has barely looked at the features or had time to play around with it. If you are opting into this - you are the guinea pigs and might need to do some troubleshooting on your own - or be patient while ILT figures it out as we go. 

Please let Kelly and Amman know what issues you're running into or any feedback you or your students have. We want to know all the ins and outs of it before we pay for it. 

Tips for teachers: 

1. When you sign up for the trial, DO NOT use “Sign in with Microsoft” - that is not set up yet. Just create an account with your Overlake email address. 
2. Always have students download the apps and do a trial exam before the real thing. Only once your class has all used it and it works, should you assume everyone has what they need on their devices. 
3. When you create an exam there are options for security level. 
   1. High requires students to download an app (more on that below). 
   2. Medium works in the browser. Medium is actually quite secure - it maximizes the browser tab/window that the exam is in and will report and track any time the student leaves that window. So while it isn't “locked” in it is monitoring closely. I recommend using this if students are having challenges downloading the app. 
4. Use the exam key for students. We are not (at least not for the trial) importing groups or classes. Students just go to the app or the website and put in the key. 
5. End the exam when your class is over. You can reopen it any time for students who need to take it at a different time. Unlike digiexam, ending the exam doesn't create a separate instance. 
6. Use time limit. This will allow your extended time students to automatically have extended time. You are able to add time to the exam individually or as a group when the exam is in progress.
