DigiExam is an app that your teachers may use to help monitor exams. It is accessed through the web, downloaded to your computer, and during an exam it shuts down all apps except the exam you are taking. 

Step One: Download DigiExam to your computer

Note: ALL STUDENTS, including students who previously downloaded DigiExam, must download the new DigiExam app as of September 2025

• Go to the DigiExam website: https://www.digiexam.com/
• Click on “download the application”

• Select the app for your computer and download and install it.

Step Two: Log Into DigiExam

• Go to the Canvas page of the course where you will be using DigiExam. 
• On the left side menu, click on DigiExam. 
• If you don't know or remember your password, click on “forgot password”. 
• When you reset your password please choose something you will remember! This password is separate from your other Overlake passwords. 

Step Three: Taking an Exam

• Because DigiExam is going to shut down all the open apps on your computer, it is best practice to save and close out of everything you are working on before you start your exam. 
• Go to the DigiExam website and login
• Click on “open DigiExam app” in the top right corner

  

• You may see your exam listed, or your instructor may give you an exam code to type in
• When you click on “Start Exam” all the apps on your computer will be shut down and your exam will begin.
